Abstract
Background : On March 11, 2020, WHO will declare Covid-19 a Public Health Emergency that is Worrying the World. Covid-19 is classified as a pandemic, meaning it is a virus that has spread globally and has infected many people and the process of spreading is very fast so it can cause anxiety or worry for individuals. Anxiety is the most common emotional problem in pregnancy. Pregnancy such as preterm delivery,
stunted fetal growth, nerves development and bad behavior. This is study aims todetermine the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on the level of anxietyof pregnant woman in Silumboyah Village, Siempat Nempu Hulu District in 2020.
Method : This kind of study uses a cross sectional, analytical observational design. 38 pregnant women in Silumboyah Village made up the research's population. A total of 38 persons were sampled for the study, and the chi square test was employed for data analysis.
Results: It was discovered that each responder had varying degrees of anxiety, and that the Covid-19 pandemic variable had an impact on pregnant respondents' levels of worry with a value of p= 0,003 which means less than p= 0,005.
Conclusion : There is an effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on anxiety levels pregnantwoman in Silumboyah Village, Siempat Nempu Hulu in 2020. Recommended to theGovernment of the Silumboyah Village that with the influence of a pandemic to theincrease in the anxiety of pregnant woman who can affect the health of the mother and fetus so that it can be a reference to make the program to make the problem up eith
collaboration with the Village health team and also increases the health protocol in Silumboyah Village.
