Pendidikan Kesehatan Tentang Deteksi Dini Hipertensi Gestasional Pada Ibu Hamil di Klinik Pratama Rawat Inap Ridos Kecamatan Medan Denai Provinsi Sumatera Utara Tahun 2024

Gestational hypertension is defined as an increase in systolic blood pressure of at least 140 mmHg and/ordiastolic blood pressure of at least 90 mmHg that occurs after 20 weeks of pregnancy and returns to normal within 12 weeks after delivery. Based on its causes, most maternal deaths in 2022 were due to pregnancy-induced hypertension The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health
education and early detection of hypertension in pregnant women. The reseach method employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design using a one-group pretest–posttest design. The sample consisted of all pregnant women at Klinik Pratama Rawat Inap Ridos Medan during the period of March–June, totaling 35 respondents (total sampling). Both primary and secondary data were collected. Data analysis was conducted univariately and bivariately. The result of the study using the chi-square test showed a p-value of 0.026 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between before and after the provision of health education to pregnant women. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant effect of health education on increasing pregnant women’s knowledge regarding early
detection of gestational hypertension at Klinik Pratama Rawat Inap Ridos, Kecamatan Medan Denai, North Sumatra Province in 2024. Recommendation that healthcare workers provide continuous health education to improve pregnant
women’s knowledge about gestational hypertension.
