Mental disorders are conditions in which a pattern of behavioral disorders occurs caused by emotional distortions, which ultimately leads to behavioral disorders. This is due to a decline in overall mental function. Mental disorders can be understood as disorders that affect one or more cognitive functions. Mental disorders can be divided into many forms, including violent behavior, hallucinations, suicide risk, withdrawal/social isolation, and self-care deficits. Social isolation can have a variety of negative impacts on a person's mental and behavioral well-being, such as withdrawing behavior, increased narcissism, increased anger or impulsivity, unpredictable behavior, treating others as objects, and even experiencing schizophrenia. Based on data from WHO in 2022, the number of people with schizophrenia globally reached 24 million people, or about
1 in 300 people (0.32%). Among the adult population, the figure is 1 in 222 people (0.45%). The method used for this study is descriptive which aims to explore problems related to psychiatric disorders, especially social isolation of withdrawal that occurs in the Dolok Sanggul I room of RSJ Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ildrem in 2024. The approach method applied in this study is a nursing care approach that
involves a series of stages that include the process of reviewing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing. The results obtained by the author
after doing nursing care for 4 days are that patients are able to get acquainted with other people, are able to start conversations, have eye contact, and can blend in with the group. Furthermore, the implementation is continued by nurses according to the patient's daily activity schedule.
