Pneumonia is a common health issue that occurs frequently and has significant impacts, especially among the elderly. Pneumonia is also one of the fourth highest causes of death caused by acute respiratory infections (ARI). Every year, more than 9.2 million people worldwide die from pneumonia, and the number of sufferers reaches 190,231 people (WHO 2023). Research Objective: The purpose of this study is to implement Medical-Surgical Nursing Care Management for Mrs. A with Pneumonia in room RA3 at the Ministry of Health Adam Malik Hospital in 2024. Methods: This study focuses on data collection from a single patient and uses qualitative methodology with a descriptive category. Subject: The
study involves one patient suffering from pneumonia. Data collection was conducted through various methods, including interviews, direct observation of the patient's condition, and physical examination to obtaining a more accurate picture of the patient's condition. Results: Based on the assessment results that have been conducted, three nursing diagnoses were identified, namely Ineffective airway
clearance, Activity intolerance, and Hyperthermia. The interventions carried out included effective coughing exercises, energy management, and applying warm
compresses. Evaluation showed significant improvements in the patient's physical and psychological parameters. Conclusion: Health education provided can enhance the success in delivering medical-surgical nursing care for pneumonia.
