Abstract
BACKGROUND Breast milk (AiriiSusuiiIbu) is a very complete source of nutrition for babies, with a composition ofcontent that has been adjusted to meet the growth and development needs of babies up to 6 months of age. Breast milk also plays an important role in maintaining baby immunity to prevent infection and increase baby immunity because it contains antibodies that can increase the body's resistance.
In addition, breast milk can help prevent allergic reactions in babies, thus providing optimal natural protection. There are more than 100 types of nutrients in breast milk, including AA, DHA, taurine, and sphingomyelin. Based on the 2021 Indonesian Health Profile, the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding for babies under six months of age has reached 54.0% nationally, exceeding the 2021 strategic plan target of 42%. According to the 2021 North Sumatra Provincial Health Profile, there was a significant decrease in the percentage of babies receiving exclusive breastfeeding
(2020) compared to 2021, and this figure has not reached the national target set at below 40%. Several districts/cities that have succeeded in achieving coverage of ≥ 40% include North Labuhan Batu Regency (97.90%). PURPOSE has an effect on increasing breast milk production in breastfeeding mothers of infants aged 0-6 months in Medan Sinembah Village, Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency
in 2023. METHOD quasi-experimental method (Quasi Experiment) with a one group pretest and posttest design without control. In this study, the pretest was conducted first before the intervention was given to the respondents, and after the intervention, the posttest was carried out. It is called a quasi-experiment with a one group pretest and posttest design without control because the researcher only gave the intervention to one group without a comparison group. The research subjects were observed before and after the intervention was carried out. This design utilizes one group to observe changes that occur before and after the intervention (One Group Pre-Post Test). RESULTS Analysis of the Friedman Test Method followed by the Wilcoxon Post Hoc Test, which produced a sig value (0.000) <0.05, indicating a significant effect
