Abstract
Background: Breast milk is a colloidal dispersion of lipids in an aqueous medium including protein, lactose and organic salts. This complex fluid is produced by the mammary glands of nursing mothers and serves as the baby’s main food source. Several factors influence the determination of breast milk contebt, namely the stage of breastfeeding, the mother’s racial background, the mother’s nutritional status, and food intake. Breast milk can be categorized into three different stages based on lactation: coloctrum, transitional breast milk, and mature (natural) breast milk. Breastfeeding is a practice that allows individuals to express gratitude for the benefits they gain by making a concerted effort to produce only breast milk for a period of at least sixmonths. Breastfeeding has been proven to be an easy way to reduce fussiness in babies. The act of breastfeeding has been proven to influence the development of a strong emotional relationship between mother and baby. This nurturing process allows the transmission of maternal attachment to create a sense of security and calm fot the baby. Research Objective: To determine the factors that influence exclusive breastfeeding in the Onan Hasang Community Health Center Work Area, Pahae Julu District, NorthnTapanuli Regency in 2020. Methods: A cross-sectional analytical observational study of this kind is currently being conducted. Twenty postpartum women who were breastfeeding their children
constituted the study population. Purposive sampling, a method for selecting samples with particular attention, is used by researchers. Chi Square analysis was used in
this. Results: The results of the stud explain the correlation between the four variables obtained by P=value (0,000) < α (0,05) there is a relationship between the variables age, education, knowledge, work and the mother’s attitude through exclusive breastfeeding in the work area of the Onan Hasang Community Health Center, Kec. Pahae Julu District. North Tapanuli in 2020. Conclusion: The results of the study that in the Onan Hasang Cmmunity Health Center working area, Pahae Julu District, North Tapanuli Regency in 2020, mother’s attitudes when giving exclusive breastfeeding werw correlated with ionship between materage, occupation, knowledge and attitudes; However, there is no relat ionship
between maternal education and exclusive breastfeeding in the work area. Distict Pahae Julu District. North Tapanuli Onan Hasang Health center in 2020. It is recommended that health workers, especially midwives, intensify outreach efforts to educate the general public about exclusive breastfeeding.
