One of the increases in IMR is umbilical cord infection, where the mother's lack of knowledge about the importance of umbilical cord care affects the separation of the umbilical cord. So you have to keep the umbilical cord dry and clean. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), in 2012 the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR), reached 54/1000 live births while the MDGs target was 23/1000 live births. Based on the 2012 Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS), the infant mortality rate was around 32\1000 births, of which neonatal mortality reached 19\1000 live births and neonatal sepsis reached a rate (20.5%). The aim of this study was to provide
midwifery care. in NY.S babies in carrying out umbilical cord care independently and regularly to keep it clean, dry and sterile. As well as ensuring the achievement of the
goal of improving Integrated Young Infant Management (MTBM) services. In conducting a case study using descriptive research methods, NY.S infants provided Midwifery Care according to data collection techniques in the form of physical examination, as well as observation, so that the process resulted in very good evaluation results, where there were no signs of infection in the umbilical cord, and
the umbilical cord the center has cleared on day 5 and NY.S is able to carry out umbilical cord care independently. In this step, providing education by health workers about umbilical cord care in infants is the most important part of primary prevention in infants.
