Manajemen Asuhan Keperawatan Gerontik Yang Service Excellent Pada Ny.W Dengan Demensia Di UPTD Pelayanan Sosial Lanjut Usia Binjai Dinas Sosial Provinsi Sumatera Utara Tahun 2025

Elderly is someone who has entered the age of 60 years or more is considered elderly, and enters the final phase of life. Elderly people often experience decline in memory, thinking, behavior, and the ability to carry out daily activities. Dementia also involves a decline in cognitive and personality functions in addition to memory. Based on data from the World Health Organization (WHO), it states
that dementia or Alzheimer’s disease is included in the 10 leading causes of death and dementia is in 6th place. The number of dementia cases is expected to continue to increase and is expected to reach 82 million in 2030 and 152 million in 2050. The purpose of this study to implement Nursing Care Management Depicting Gerontic Nursing Care Management With Excellent Service For Mrs.W With Dementia At The UPTD For Elderly Social Services In Binjai. The research method used is a descriptive case study with a nursing process approach that includes assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the study nursing care showed an increase in the client’s cognitive and physical functions after various interventions were carried out, such as memory training, education. Conclusion, appropriate and integrated gerontic nursing management can improve the quality of life of the elderly with dementia and support the achievement of the institution’s mission in realizing prosperous and happy elderly.
