Asuhan Keperawatan Gerontik Pada Tn. T dengan Diagnosa Hiperkolestrolemia di Desa Bangun Rejo Dusun VIII Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa Tahaun 2023

Tuberculosis is a contagious infection caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis and is one of the ten leading causes of death globally. Pulmonary TB is caused by the bacterium (Mycobacterium tuberculosis), which most often attacks the lungs and is preventable and curable. Research purposes of this research is to create and implement excellent service management for geriatric nursing care in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis at the UPTD for elderly social services in Binjai, Binjai City, North Sumatra Province in 2024. Method This study used a descriptive method with a case study approach. The subject, Mr. T, had pulmonary TB. Data collection was conducted through interviews and physical examinations. Results Based on the results of the research conducted, three diagnoses were found, namely, respiratory disorders, ineffective cough, weight loss. Interventions carried out monitor the presence of spultum retention, Position the patient in a semi-Fowler or Fowler position, Explain to the patient about the purpose and steps of performing an effective cough, Instruct the
patient to take a deep breath through the nose for 4
seconds, hold their breath for 2 seconds, then exhale slowly through the mouth with pursed lips for 8 seconds, Suggest
the patient repeat the deep breathing exercise up to three times, After the third deep breath, advise the patient to immediately do a strong cough in a controlled manner.
Evaluation shows a slow improvement in the patient. Conclusion Interventions carried out on patients can increase success in providing geriatric nursing care for pulmonary TB.
