Abstract
Hypertension in pregnancy is one of the obstetric complications that significantly contributes to increased maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality worldwide.
This condition occurs due to uncontrolled physiological and pathological changes in the cardiovascular system of pregnant women, which can lead to serious complications such as preeclampsia, eclampsia, and even maternal and fetal death. This study aims to implement maternity nursing care management based on service excellence for Mrs. A, who experienced hypertension during the second trimester of pregnancy. The research method utilized a nursing process approach consisting of assessment, nursing diagnosis,
planning, intervention implementation, and evaluation. The research subject was one pregnant woman in her second trimester diagnosed with hypertension. Interventions were provided comprehensively using a service-oriented approach that emphasized patient needs, comfort, and improved understanding of her health condition. The results of the
study showed an increase in the patient’s understanding of hypertension in pregnancy following the interventions. Additionally, anxiety was resolved by the second day. Ineffective peripheral perfusion showed improvement and was
resolved by the third day, while sleep pattern disturbances improved and were resolved by the second day. These findings indicate that appropriate, professional, and service-oriented maternity nursing care can effectively improve both the physical and psychological conditions of pregnant women with hypertension. Conclusion: Maternity nursing care based on service excellence is effective in increasing patient understanding and accelerating the improvement of clinical
conditions, including anxiety, peripheral perfusion, and sleep patterns in pregnant women with hypertension.
