Manajemen Asuhan Keperawatan Gerontik Yang Service Excellent Pada Ny. J Dengan Gout Atrhritis Di UPTD Pelayanan Sosial Lanjut Usia Binjai Kota Binjai Provinsi Sumatera Utara 2025

Gout Arthritis is a common form of inflammatory arthritis among the elderly, caused by the accumulation of uric acid crystals in the joints. Although it is incurable, the condition can be managed effectively with appropriate care. If left untreated, Gout Arthritis may progress into serious complications that significantly reduce quality of life. This study aims to implement gerontic nursing care for Mrs. J, an elderly patient diagnosed with Gout Arthritis, at the Elderly Social Service Unit (UPTD) in Binjai in 2025. The research uses a case study method with a descriptive approach, focusing on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. Nursing interventions were
applied to reduce pain, improve physical mobility, and support lifestyle modifications, including education on a low-purine diet. The findings indicate that comprehensive nursing care tailored to the elderly can enhance patients’
quality of life and achieve excellence in nursing services. This study also emphasizes the crucial role of nurses in providing holistic support and continuous education for elderly patients with Gout Arthritis.
