Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Kejadian Bayi Berat Lahir Rendah (BBLR) Di Rumah Sakit Umum Wahyu Kota Medan Provinsi Sumatera Utara Tahun 2024

Beckground Low Birth Weight (LBW) is a baby weighing less than 2500 grams regardless of gestational age. Factors causing LBW are age, parity, pregnancy interval. In North Sumatra Province, there were 265 cases of LBW in 2023. The
aim of the study was to determine what factors influence the occurrence of low birth weight (LBW) in Wahyu General Hospital in 2024.
Method: This study was conducted quantitatively and used the case control method. It was conducted retrospectively. Data collection in this study was through data from medical records. The study population is all newborns who experienced LBW at Wahyu General Hospital, namely 34 babies using Total sampling and the sample studied was 34 babies, Data analysis technique using Chi-Square analysis,
Results: The study was obtained from the variables studied at Wahyu General Hospital in 2024, namely There is an influence of Age on the incidence of LBW test results (P-value 0.002 <0.05) maternal age with high risk is 25 people
(67.6%), There is an influence of maternal Parity on the incidence of LBW test results (P-value 0.002 <0.05) maternal parity with multipara 25 people (67.6%), There is an influence of Pregnancy Spacing on the incidence of LBW test results (P-value 0.003 <0.05) pregnancy spacing with high risk is 25 (65.8%)
Conclusion: There is an influence of age, parity, and pregnancy interval on the incidence of low birth weight (LBW) babies using the Chi-square test. P-value > 0.05 at Wahyu General Hospital, Medan City North Sumatra Province in 2024 .
