Analisis Faktor- Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Terhadap Kejadian Anemia Pada Ibu Hamil Di RSU Fajar Kecamatan Medan Polonia Kota Medan Provinsi Sumatera Utara Tahun 2024

Background: Anemia is a condition in which the number of red blood cells (erythrocytes) or the mass of hemoglobin decreases below the normal limit, making it unable to carry out its function of transporting oxygen to all body tissues.
Purpose : of this study was to analyze the factors influencing the incidence of anemia in pregnant women.
Method: used was a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The study sample consisted of all pregnant women recorded at RSU Fajar during April–June 2024, totaling 30 respondents (total sampling). Primary and secondary data were collected and analyzed using univariate, bivariate, and multivariate methods.
Result: using the Chi-square test showed a significant relationship between age (p=0.037), parity (p=0.006), nutritional status (p=0.015), pregnancy spacing (p=0.005), ANC frequency (p=0.005), and adherence to iron tablet (Fe) consumption (p=0.029) with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women. Multivariate analysis indicated that nutritional status was the most dominant factor influencing the incidence of anemia (OR=9.000).
Conclusion: of this study is that there is a significant relationship between internal factors (age, parity, nutritional status, pregnancy interval) and external factors (ANC frequency and adherence to iron tablet consumption) with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women at RSU Fajar, with nutritional status being the most dominant factor.
