Abstract
Hemorrhagic stroke is one of the non-communicable diseases with a high mortality and disability rate that requires prompt and appropriate management in the emergency department. This condition occurs due to the rupture of a blood vessel in the brain, leading to bleeding and brain tissue damage. Objective: This study aims to describe the implementation of emergency nursing management based on service excellence in Mrs. N with hemorrhagic stroke in the RA 1 Room of the Ministry of Health H. Adam Malik Hospital Medan in 2025. Method: The research used a descriptive design with a case study approach through the stages
of the nursing process, including assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Subject: The subject of the study was a 71-yearold female patient diagnosed with hemorrhagic stroke, stage 2 hypertension, and chronic kidney disease who was treated in the RA 1 Room of the Ministry of Health H. Adam Malik Hospital Medan. Results: The study showed that the patient experienced decreased consciousness (GCS 7), high blood pressure (165/100 mmHg), shortness of breath, and a decubitus ulcer on the left buttock. The nursing diagnoses identified included ineffective airway clearance, impaired
physical mobility, impaired skin integrity, and risk of ineffective cerebral perfusion. Interventions included oxygen administration, chest physiotherapy, wound care, repositioning, and family education regarding complication
prevention. Evaluation showed gradual improvement in breathing patterns, consciousness, and wound condition. Conclusion: The study concludes that the application of service excellence principles such as quickresponse, empathy,
effective communication, and patient safety–focused care has proven to improve the quality of emergency nursing services and accelerate the patient’s recovery process.
