Asuhan Keperawatan Gerontik Pada Ny.S Dengan Hipertensi Di Desa Bangun Rejo Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa Kabupaten Deli Serdang Provinsi Sumatera Utara Tahun 2023

Hypertension is a condition when the blood pressure in the blood vessels increases and is chronic. This can happen because the heart works harder to pump blood to meet the body's oxygen and nutritional needs. If left unchecked, this
disease can disrupt the function of other organs, especially vital organs, as well as the heart and kidneys. The cause of hypertension in the elderly is due to changes in the elasticity of the aortic wall which decreases, the heart valves thicken and become stiff, the ability of the heart to pump blood decreases, so that its contraction and volume also decreases, loss of elasticity of blood vessels due to less effectiveness of peripheral blood vessels for oxygen, increased resistance of peripheral blood vessels. In writing this scientific paper, a type of research was carried out in the form of descriptive research or case study, with the aim of providing an overview of hypertension in Bangun Rejo Village, Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency,North Sumatra Province in 2023. After providing nursing care to Mrs. S, the medical problems experienced by the patient have now passed and the patient is able to apply diabetes exercises, a healthy diet and is able to recognize the disease he is suffering from. Hypertension, a nursing process was carried out starting from Assessment, Nursing Diagnosis, Intervention, Implementation and Evaluation for 3 days starting from 17
February 2023 to 19 February 2023 in Bangun Rejo Village. The approach taken is providing training and knowledge about healthy living patterns to prevent hypertension problems and through assessment, diagnosis of nursing care, intelligence, implementation and evaluation of nursing and after implementing nursing care for Mrs. With medical problems experienced by the patient, he is able to apply diabetes exercises, a healthy diet and is able to recognize the disease he is suffering from.
