Mental disorders are a problem that is widespread globally, with the number of cases continuing to increase every year if not treated quickly. According to the World Health
Organization, mental disorders include various conditions such as bipolar disorder, developmental disorders, schizophrenia, psychosis, dementia, and depression. Based on
data from WHO in 2022, the number of schizophrenia sufferers globally will reach around 24 million people, or around 1 in 300 people (0.32%). Among the adult population, the figure is 1 in 222 people (0.45%). In Indonesia the number of people suffering from mental disorders reaches 400,000 people. This case study research aims to provide excellent
mental nursing care for Mrs. T with Low Self-Esteem Disorder in the Rose Room at the Prof. Mental Hospital. Dr. Muhammad Ildrem Medan 2024, The case study method applied is a qualitative descriptive method through case studies to explore the problem of mental nursing care for patients who experience low self-esteem disorders. The sample in this case study research is Mrs. T with Low Self-Esteem Disorder, the results of the case study were that nursing care was carried out for 3 days with the intervention of the patient being able to recognize positive abilities in himself and based on the results of the case evaluation it was stated that the nursing care was carried out effectively and excellently.
