Abstract

A stroke is a serious medical condition that occurs when blood flow to part of the brain is interrupted or stopped, causing brain cells to experience a lack of oxygen and nutrients. Hypoxia (lack of oxygen) in the affected part of the brain can cause damage to these cells. There are two main types of stroke: ischemic and hemorrhagic. The World Health Organization (WHO) provides a very important picture of the burden of stroke at the global level. Here are some key points. 1) Death Rate from Stroke (2019) In 2019, as many as 17.9 million people died from stroke, of these, 85% of deaths were caused by stroke. 2) The pattern of deaths from Stoke worldwide is that more than three-quarters of stroke deaths occur in developing and developed places. 3) Global Stroke Prevalence (Prevalence), Every year, there are 13.7 million new cases of stroke worldwide. About 5.5 million of those cases resulted in death 4) Stroke symptoms and recovery. About 70% of mild stroke symptoms go away on their own within 10 minutes. If you get treatment immediately, about 90% of stroke symptoms can disappear within 4 hours. 5) Prevalence of Stroke in Indonesia (2018), The prevalence of stroke in Indonesia in 2018, based on a doctor's diagnosis in the population aged ≥ 15 years, is 10.9%. It is estimated that around 2,120,362 people in Indonesia suffered a stroke. Research Methods: Analytical survey with interview strategy making research design In this case study the study, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation are carried out using nursing care methods . The author seeks to outline each step in providing emergency nursing care. Conclusion: After carrying out Nursing Care on Mrs.x who had a stroke for 3 days
using the nursing process approach (assessment, diagnosis, nursing planning, implementation, and evaluation), understanding of the disease and the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Involve yourself in recommended rehabilitation and treatment activities. Consult regularly with the care team for good health monitoring.
