Asuhan Keperawatan Gawat Darurat Pada An. K Dengan Kasus Meningitis Di Ruang PICU RS Universitas Sumatera Utara Tahun 2023

Meningitis is a disease that often affects the main nervous system, namely the lining of the brain and spinal cord. This disease is caused by bacteria or viruses and is very dangerous because it can cause serious and potentially life-threatening conditions. According to the World Health Organization, WHO reported that in 2018, data on meningitis cases was 19,138 with a death toll of 1,1398. In 2016,
Indonesia reached a death rate of 4,313 menphingitis sufferers from 78,018 cases, this figure makes Indonesia the number with the highest cases and deaths in Southeast Asia due to meningitis. And in this case, the case taken was Emergency Nursing Care in An. K with a case of meningitis in the PICU room at the North Sumatra University Hospital, Medan. In writing this scientific paper, a type of descriptive research or case study was carried out, with the aim of writing to provide an overview of the disease experienced by An. K with a case of meningitis in the PICU Room at North Sumatra University Hospital, Medan. The
patient came to the room after post-head surgery and was then unconscious or in a coma, so he was put in the PICU room on April 14 2023 and assessed on April 15 2023. The patient was in a declining condition with a very serious general condition, breathing with a ventilator with EIT number 4.5 PC mode H02.0%. Before Illness. In the case of An.K. With Meningitis, a nursing process has been carried out starting from Assessment, Nursing Diagnosis, Intervention, Implementation and Evaluation for 6 days starting from April 15 2023 to April 20 2023 in the Trigger Room at the North Sumatra University Hospital. From the
results of the implementation of nursing care for An, K with meningitis in the PICU Room at the North Sumatra University Hospital in Medan by implementing nursing care, namely: Assessment, Nursing Diagnosis, Nursing Intervention,
Nursing Implementation and Nursing Evaluation.After carrying out nursing care for An.K which was carried out from April 16 2023 to April 18 2023, it could be evaluated with the results of the problem being resolved in the diagnosis. The risk of injury was related to recurrent seizures and the intervention and implementation were stopped.
