Abstract
Background: According to the World Health Organization (WHO), anemia is a condition in which hemoglobin levels are lower than normal in a specific group. Anemia is a condition where red blood cells (erythrocytes) are reduced in
hemoglobin mass or circulation, resulting in the inability of the blood to perform its functions.
Research Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship between antenatal care visits and iron tablet adherence with anemia among pregnant women in the third trimester.
Research Method: This study utilizes quantitative research systematically, planned, and clearly structured from the beginning to the end of the study design. This study used a descriptive analytical study with a case-control design. The
population of this study was all pregnant women in each trimester, totaling 30. The sample size comprised the entire population, consisting of 30 samples.
Research Results: The chi-square test yielded a p-value of 0.000 (p<α=0.05), thus rejecting Ho and accepting Ha. The chi-square test yielded a p-value of 0.002.
Conclusion: The study found a correlation between ANC visits and the incidence of anemia, and adherence to iron tablet consumption and the incidence of anemia.
