Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Hipertensi Gestasional Pada Ibu Hamil Dirumah Sakit Umum Fajar Medan Polonia Sumatera Utara Tahun 2024

Background: Gestational hypertension is a condition characterized by high blood pressure that occurs during pregnancy, usually in the second half (second or third
trimester). Hypertension is diagnosed if systolic blood pressure exceeds 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure exceeds 90 mmHg after 20 weeks of gestation (late pregnancy) Hypertension during pregnancy accounts for the majority of maternal deaths, with 801 cases.
Objective: This study aims to determine the factors influencing gestational hypertension in pregnant women at Fajar General Hospital, Medan, Polonia, North Sumatra, in 2024.
Method: This is an observational, case-control analytic study, examining the dynamics of the correlation between factors influencing gestational hypertension in pregnant women using a point-time approach. The population and sample used in this study were 60 pregnant women visiting Fajar General Hospital, Medan, Polonia, North Sumatra, in 2024, from January 2024 to December 2024.
Results: The chi-square test yielded a value of 0.010 <0.015, indicating that women aged 20-35 years were at greater risk of developing hypertension. The p-value of
0.033 indicated that multigravida mothers were at greater risk of developing hypertension. The p-value of 0.000 indicated that mothers with a history of hypertension were at greater risk of developing hypertension.
Conclusion : There is a relationship between age, parity, and history of hypertension and the occurrence of hypertension in pregnant women at Fajar General Hospital.
