Abstract
Background: According to the World Health Organization (WHO), anaemia impairs health and well-being in women and increases the risk of harming mothers and babies. Based on data from the WHO world health agency in 2018 reported that the prevalence of anaemia in pregnant women in the world is
41.8%. The prevalence of anaemia in pregnant women in Asia is 48.2%. Pregnant women are one of the groups that are vulnerable to nutritional problems, especially iron nutritional anaemia. Based on the results of a survey conducted in 2018, the prevalence of anaemia among pregnant women was 40.1% and in 2013 it rose to 43.6%. Research Objective: To determine the factors that influence the
incidence of anaemia in third trimester pregnant women at the Peureulak Health Centre UPTD, East Aceh Regency, Aceh Province in 2024. Research Methods: This type of research is an analytical observational study using a Cross Sectional
approach with a sample of all pregnant women Trimester III UPTD Puskesmas Peureulak East Aceh Regency Aceh Province, namely 58 people. Results: The results of the analysis obtained an OR value of 7.25 (95% CI: 1.9-26.5) in parity,
8.57 (95% CI: 2.08-35.2) in pregnancy distance, OR value of 3.63 (95% CI: 1.2210.8) in maternal age and OR value of 8.57 (95% CI: 2.08-35.2) in maternal nutritional status. Conclusion: There is an association between parity, birth
spacing, maternal age and nutritional status with the incidence of anaemia.
