Abstract
Background: In general, women can adapt to this condition, although severe nausea and vomiting symptoms can last up to 4 months. Thus, daily work is disrupted and general conditions are poor. According to the Health issue in the
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) data, it is to reduce maternal mortality. Quality and regular antenatal checks during pregnancy will determine the health status of pregnant women. Until now, the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) is still in the range of 305 per 100,000 Live Births, not reaching the specified target of 183 per 100,000 KH in 2024.
Objective: To analyze the Relationship between Nutritional Status and Hyperemesis Gravidarum in Pregnant Women at the Peureulak Health Center, East Aceh in 2024. Research population: The sample in the study is part of the population being studied whose characteristics will be known. In this study, the samples used were mothers with hyperemesis gravidarum and mothers who did not experience hyperemesis gravidarum, totaling 68 people. Type of Research: This study uses a case control design. This case control is a research design that compares the case group with the control group to determine the proportion of events based on a history of exposure. Results: There is a relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of
hyperemesis gravidarum in pregnant women at the Peureulak Health Center, East Aceh. Pregnant women with poor nutritional status will experience hyperemesis gravidarum 7.5 times compared to pregnant women with good nutritional status.
