Abstract
Background: One of the benchmarks of infant health in the 2016 Indonesian health profile is neonatal health services. Because infants under one month of age have the highest chance of experiencing health problems, various problems may arise. Objective: To determine the Relationship between Social Support and Exclusive Breastfeeding in Breastfeeding Mothers at BPS Marliyanti, Peureulak District, East Aceh in 2024. Research population: The sampling technique used in this study was to use saturated samples, namely sampling using the rules in determining the sample and in this study the rules for determining the sample were pregnant and breastfeeding mothers during January 2023 to May 2024 as many as 31 breastfeeding mothers. Type of Research: The type of research used is an analytical survey with a cross
sectional research design. Data collection using a questionnaire. Data is processed by univariate analysis using descriptive statistics and bivariate analysis using the Chi-square test. Results: Mothers' knowledge about the right time to provide exclusive breastfeeding was assessed by 22 respondents with good knowledge (45.83%) and 26 respondents with less information (54.17%). Mothers' social support for exclusive breastfeeding: A total of 39 respondents (81%) with good social support, 30 respondents with attitudes towards unit ownership and attitudes for certain reasons were less good. Nine respondents, eight of whom had inadequate social support, not only had positive attitudes towards breastfeeding but also towards parenthood.
