Abstract
Background: Uterine Prolapse is a form of Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP), which is a condition where the uterus descends from its normal anatomical boundaries into the vaginal canal (through the vagina). The incidence of POP will increase with age, with its peak occurring at the age of 60-69 years with the highest prevalence reaching 5%. By 2050, it is estimated that the incidence of women
experiencing POP will increase by 46% to reach 4.9 million. Although uterine prolapse is not a life-threatening condition, this prolapse can affect a woman's quality of life, both physically, psychologically and even sexually. The purpose of this study was to see what factors most influence obstetric and non-obstetric factors at the Haji Adam Malik Central General Hospital. The benefits of this
study are expected to increase insight and knowledge and provide input to researchers about Factors That Influence the Incidence of Uterine Prolapse in Perimenopausal Women.
Method: The type of research method used is case-control. The population of this study was 118 subjects. And for the sample used is 62 purposive sampling samples using the criteria for determining the sample to be studied. Bivariate analysis using the Chi Square test to determine the relationship between age, parity, type of delivery, and BMI on the incidence of uterine prolapse. For multivariate
analysis using the binary logistic test to determine which factors are most influential in the incidence of uterine prolapse. Results: Based on the results of the study obtained in 62 samples, there is a relationship between parity and the incidence of uterine prolapse for the results
obtained using the Chi square test, p value = 0.005. There is a relationship between the type of delivery and the incidence of uterine prolapse in the results of the p value = 0.020. There is a relationship between age and the incidence of uterine prolapse p value = 0.000. There is no relationship between BMI and the incidence of uterine prolapse p value = 0.104 Conclusion: Mothers with a history of grandemultipara parity are at risk of experiencing uterine prolapse. Mothers with a history of normal or vaginal delivery are at risk of experiencing uterine prolapse. Mothers with an age range of 51-55 years have a risk of experiencing uterine prolapse. Mothers who have an
obese BMI do not have a risk of experiencing uterine prolapse.
