Analisis Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Terjadinya Kejang Demam Pada Anak Di Klinik Pratama Ridos Kecamatan Medan Denai Kota Medan Tahun 2024

Background : According to the World Health Organization (WHO),It is estimated that the number of children experiencing febrile seizures in the world is more than
21.65 million and more than 216 children have died . Febrile seizures are seizures that occur when the temperature rises to more than 38℃ which often occurs in children aged between 6 months-5years.The aim of this research is to
analyze the factors that influence the occurrence of febrile seizures in children at the Pratama Ridos Clinic ,Medan Denai District ,Medan city in 2024. Method : The type of research used in this research is Retrospective Research
with a Cross-Sectional research design ,namely research that studies the correlation between risk factors and effects. The population in this study ,the number of samples was the same as population ,namely 85 samples.Resullts : The results obtained in this study were that body temperature had an
effect on febrile seizures with a p-value = 0.000,infectious diseases had an effect on the occurrence of febrile convulsions with a p-value = 0.001 and gender had an effect on the occurrence of febrile convulsions with a p-value = 0.000 . Conclusion : There is an influence between Body temperature an the occurrence of febrile convulsions with a p-value = 0.000 ,there is an influence of infectious diseases on the occurrence of febrile seizures with p-value = 0.001 and there is an influence of gender on the occurrence of febrile seizures with p-value = 0.000.
