Abstract
Maternal and child health is one of the indicators for assessing health status, making it a focus for health improvement efforts to reduce maternal mortality rates
during pregnancy, childbirth, the postpartum period, and family planning, as seen from mortality rates. Therefore, improving family health is undertaken by implementing measures that can reduce high maternal and child mortality rates through a family-centered approach, where families themselves play a role in enhancing development and advancing health status by adopting a healthy lifestyle,
starting from the family itself. This aligns with the sustainable development goals (SDGs) by ensuring that communities achieve access targets by the year 2030
(Bappenas, 2020). UNICEF reports that Indonesia ranks 8th highest with an absolute number of child brides totaling 1,459,000 cases. Nationally, 11.2% of girls marry before the age of 18, and 0.5% of those girls marry at the age of 15. Pregnant women aged 15-19 are at greater risk of complications that could lead to death. The risk of death during pregnancy or childbirth for girls aged 10-14 is 5 times greater and 2 times greater for girls aged 15-19 compared to women aged 20-25. The aim of this study is to provide nursing care for Ms. S with a high-risk pregnancy. This research method was conducted descriptively using the 7 Helen Varney approach on November 19, 2023. The results of this study indicate that the researcher has provided midwifery care for Ms. S with a high-risk pregnancy without
complications. Throughout this research process, it has been there may be a gap between theory and practice where the age of the mother is too young.
