Faktor-Faktor yang Berhubungan Dengan Kejadian Plasenta Previa Pada Ibu Hamil di RSUP H. Adam Malik Medan Tahun 2023

Background: The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that maternal deaths due to hemorrhage, especially placenta previa, range from 15-20% of maternal deaths and the
incidence is 0.8-1.2 for each birth, WHO reports that maternal deaths are estimated at 500,000 deaths each year.. The purpose of this study aims to explore what factors are
associated with the incidence of placenta previa in pregnant women at H.Adam Malik Hospital in 2023
Method: This study uses an analytical survey study i.e. case control design, a sample of 38 respondents with 18 case samples, and 18 control samples, with consecutive sampling
techniques. Analysis of data used with bivariate percentages with Chi-Square test.
Results: The results of the analysis showed that respondents were partly aged (20-35 years) amounting to (52.8.0%) High risk aged <20 and >35 years old was 47.2%, Parity (> 3 children) was 38.9% Age (1-3 children) was 61.1% There was a history of Sc by 66.7%, and a history of abortion was (13.9). The results of statistical tests from 4 variables
there are 4 related variables, namely age (p-value = 0.019), parity (p-value = 0.040), history of Sc (p-value = 0.034), history of abortion (p-value = 1.000)
Conclusion: From the research results, it was concluded that there was a relationship between age, parity, history of CS and the incidence of placenta previa, and there was no
relationship between history of abortion and the incidence of placenta previa.
