Pengaruh Peran Keluarga Terhadap Pencegahan Diare Pada Balita DI Dusun IV Pasar Baru Desa Tanjung Ibus Kecamatan Secanggang Kabupaten Langkat Tahun 2022

Background: Diarrhea is a condition where a person defecates (baby) in a liquid state, usually only water and excessive frequency or often three times or more in one day. The role of the family is an important role because it includes health, but some families do not understand about preventing diarrhea and knowledge about diarrhea disease.
Method: In this study usingpurpose sampling, first by collecting data of families who have toddlers carried out in hamlet IV Pasar Baru, Tanjung Ibus Village, Secanggang District, Langkat Regency. The sample consisted of 35 people. Bivariate analysis using the chi-square test. Results: Based on the results of the Chi Square test, a significant value of 0.000 was obtained, which means p <0.05, so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted.
Conclusion: There is a relationship between the role of the family in preventing diarrhea in toddlers. It is recommended for the health center It is necessary to improve service and counseling capabilities regarding diarrhea, especially for
toddlers.
