Abstract
Background :Unmet need is a need for contraceptives that is not met. Women of childbearing age are said to have unmet need if they want to postpone pregnancy or terminate pregnancy for the next two years but not usingcontraception.
Unwanted pregnancy is a pregnancy that is not expected by the family or husband/wife. The aim of the research is to determine the determinant factors related to unmet need family planning center for the incidence of unwanted
pregnancies at the North Kluet Community Health Center in 2022
Method: This type of research is an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all respondents (wives/husbands) who used family planning and unmet the need for unwanted pregnancies at the Kluet Utara Community Health Center in 2022, totaling 38 respondents. The number of samples used was 38 respondents obtained using pseudo sampling techniques (totalpopulation). The data analysis technique uses chi-square.
Results: The results obtained in this study are that there is a relationship between age and the unmet need for family planning at PUS and KTD with a p-value of 0.028. There is a relationship between education and the unmet need for family
planning at PUS against KTD with a p-value of 0.031. There is a relationship between income and the unmet need for family planning at EFA and KTD with a p-value of 0.023. There is a relationship between previous contraceptive device failure and unmet need for family planning at PUS and untimely pregnancy with a p-value of 0.018. There is a relationship between the number of children and the unmet need for family planning at EFA and adverse events with a p-value of 0.005.
Conclusion: There is a relationship between age, education, income, previous contraceptive failure and the number of children with unmet need for family planning on unwanted pregnancies at the North Kluet Community Health Center
in 2022.
