Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi terhadap Partus Lama pada Ibu Bersalin di RSU Delima Kecamatan Medan Labuhan Kota Medan Provinsi Sumatera Utara tahun 2024

Background: Prolonged labor is a labor that lasts longer than the normal time, more than 24 hours for primigravida and more than 18 hours for multigravida. This condition is often accompanied by complications for both the mother and the fetus.
Objective: This study aimed to determine the factors influencing prolonged labor at Delima General Hospital, Medan Labuhan District, Medan City, North Sumatra Province in 2024.
Methods: This study was conducted at Delima General Hospital using a quantitative case-control design and a retrospective approach. A population of 933 women in labor was randomly selected (random sampling). The resulting sample size was 48. The case-control ratio was 1:1, consisting of 24 cases and 24 controls. The Slovin formula and Chi-Square test were used for analysis.
Results: This study demonstrated an effect of weak contractions on prolonged labor, with a p-value of 0.008 <0.05. There was an effect of CPD (p-value 0.021 <0.05), and there was an effect of large babies (macrosomia) on prolonged labor (p-value 0.004 <0.05).
Conclusion: There is a relationship between low labor pressure, CPD, and macrosomia with the incidence of prolonged labor in women giving birth.
