Stroke is a serious and life-threatening condition that can cause complete paralysis of the body for 24 hours or more. This can impair productivity and even lead to death.
Among Asian countries, Indonesia has the highest incidence of stroke. (Andjani1, 2023) According to (WHO 2023) every year about 15 million people worldwide experience a stroke attack. About five million of them experience permanent paralysis. The most common stroke is the ischemic type, which accounts for about 50-85% of all cases. In Southeast Asia, about 4.4 million people are affected by stroke. By 2020, an estimated 7.6 million people will die from stroke. (Amila, 2023) because stroke is a rapidly developing disease, characterized by local or global impairment of brain function supported by clinical evidence, with symptoms that last for 24 hours or cause death without an obvious cause other than blockage of blood vessels. The Case Study method established is a qualitative descriptive method through case studies. The evaluation results showed that the patient was able to undergo daily passive range of motion exercises, was able to practice speech, and understood information about his disease condition.
