Abstract
Background: The percentage of children aged 0 to 11 months who received complete basic immunization was 75.5% of the 92.9% target, with a performance achievement of 75.34%. Complete Basic Immunization Coverage (IDL) in North Sumatra Province in 2019 was 85.17%. Mandailing Natal Regency is the district with the eighth rank that has the lowest IDL achievement in North Sumatra, which is 68.27%. This study aims to analyze the relationship between maternal knowledge and the provision of basic immunizations in the working area of the Mompang Public Health Center, Mandailing Natal Regency in 2022. Methods: This type of research is analytic with a cross-sectional design. The study was conducted in the working area of the Mompang Public Health Center,
Mandailing Natal Regency, North Sumatra Province. The study was conducted from May to June 2022. The population in the study were all mothers who had 1 year old babies who were recorded in the working area of the Mompang Health Center 42 people and used a total sampling technique. . Data analysis in this study includes Univariate Analysis and Bivariate Analysis with chi square test, using a significance degree of 5% (p value <0.05). Results: The results showed that the majority of mothers' knowledge was sufficient as many as 24 people (57.1%) and the majority of infants received complete basic immunizations as many as 28 people (66.7%).Statistical test results showed p value 0.001 <0.05, meaning that there was a significant relationship between knowledge and basic immunization for infants in the Mompang Health Center Work Area. Conclusion: P value = 0.001 <0.05, which means Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, which means that there is a significant relationship between knowledge and basic immunization for infants in the Mompang Health Center Working Area in 2022. It is expected that mothers who have babies will increase their insight, concern about basic immunization in infants, regarding immunization programs
according to schedule and complete immunization.
