Abstract
Background: Childbirth is the release of the results of conception (fetus and placenta) that have reached term and can live outside the uterus. Childbirth also has 2 methods, namely vaginal delivery known as spontaneous delivery and
caesarean delivery, which is removing the fetus by making an incision in the abdominal wall. The CS procedure is used as the final action for various labor difficulties such as prolonged labor, KPD, fetal distress, preeclampsia, post date, maternal age, previous CS history and maternal parity. Although CS delivery has a high risk for the mother and fetus, in reality the number of CS procedures continues to increase. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors related to the Caesarean Section procedure at Athaya Medika Maternity and Child Hospital in 2024.
Research Method: Quantitative research, descriptive correlation type. This study uses a cross-sectional design approach. Data collection using observation sheets is
then processed into a statistical table. The data analysis technique uses the Chi Square test.
Research Results: Based on the results of the analysis of 228 populations, 49 samples were obtained who gave birth by cesarean section with more than 1 indication in pregnant women. There is a relationship between indications of fetal
distress p = 0.001, preeclampsia p = 0.021, KPD p = 0.009, there is no relationship between post date p = 0.285 d long labor = 0.363
Conclusion: Factors Related to the Occurrence of Caesarean Section Delivery at RSIA Athaya Medika in 2024 are a history of previous c-section delivery, fetal distress, KPD, preeclampsia and the indication factors that are not related are the occurrence of Caesarean Section delivery are post date and long labor.
Keywords: Caesarea Section, Preeclampsia, KPD, Fetal Distress
